i have recently been thinking about this as it was a big life changing decision.

only now do i realize it wasnt about doctrine.. the reason was because i wasnt happy and didnt respect the elders and the congregation was made up of unhappy people.. i was always being lectured for being happy.

when i had a study that came to the meeting i thought thats a good thing, and i was happy.

Going back to this post i started 5 months ago,....i have realized many people are happy being witnesses. That realization hit me hard...they are happy.....ok its an illusion they are living, but they are happy.

Who am i to smash that illusion?

Ok i think thats why with many doctrine was never discussed except in a casual way. Why waste time with doctrine?

Good luck to those that are happy, but i am glad i am FREE....yea yea.

Dangerous Persuasions

saw an episode of this series based on a ex member of the cult scientology.

it was on the crime channel (ci) on pay tv known as foxtel here in australia.. i feel that this show could be a way to expose the shunning and mind control tactics of the wtbs.

has anyone seen this series ?.

as a daily visitor of this site i am shocked by how judgemental i am.. .

if someone makes a valid point but does not spell well it colours my judgement.. .

if someone who is a clown has excellent grammar i give them leeway.. as an aside i am a gramaphobe.. .

Punk music was a beautiful form of expression for many who never had the opportunity nor talent to play in tune.

ok i'm chatting on facebook with a guy who's studying with jws, who isn't yet an unbaptised publisher because he can't kick the cancer sticks.

now i don't believe in the bible anymore, but i say i do to get a bit of common ground with this guy.

it's a common attitude among jws.

Is the WTS backing away from "Bible Tall Tales" ?

when i was a kid, it seemed like not a meeting went by when you didn't hear about jonah or sampson and other tall tales from the bible.. now though, they seem to have been sidelined.

i guess the rest of the world caught on to the fact that these stories couldn't possibly be true and were so far fetched (yeah, even by bible standards) that they are just treated as 'stories' like aesop's fables.

saying that you believe in them as genuine accounts just makes you look like a crazy zealot.. but the wts is different.

Yes phizzy, but talk to a witness indepentently and they deny they teach all those bible stories are literal, and they deny they belive the earth is 6,000 years old...
